Dirty Laundry

The message of "Dirty Laundry" is that while our kids made a mistake that warranted a reasonable punishment, they were not the only ones to make mistakes. The District made them too, but only the kids are being expelled.

Athletic Contract
As will be seen upon review of the hyper linked Athletic Contract, it seems to tell students that the consequence of an alcohol related offense is suspension from participating in athletics for some period of time. Expulsion from school is never mentioned. The District will argue that this contract applies to an alcohol offense that is off school grounds and/or not associated with a school-sponsored event. Read it. See if you can find where it says that. It's not there. Kids and parents are required to sign this in order for their child is to participate in athletics. None of the 8 kids that got expelled expected to be...... I wonder why?

School Bus Policy
Click here to see a document that the students and parents have to sign which, as we read it, says that an alcohol violation on a school bus potentially results in the loss school bus privileges. No mention of suspension from school much less expulsion. None of the 8 kids that got expelled expected to be...... I wonder why?

The Infamous Policy "JICH"
